FARM HISTORY:
Our farm was established in 1920 when grandparents, Henry and Amy Wenger, purchased 40 acres from his brother, Frank Wenger. They raised a little of everything and pedaled fruit, produce, meat, and eggs on a route in nearby Staunton, VA. A parcel was sold to son-in-law and daughter, Marion and Jean Wenger Weaver in 1950, on which they raised poultry. Marion and Jean acquired the remaining farmland in 1965 to raise beef cattle and pick-your-own strawberries.
The present owners, Maynard and Gayle Weaver, son and daughter-in-law of Marion and Jean, purchased land adjoining the farm in 1978 to build a house.
CURRENT:
Maynard and Gayle purchased the original farm in 1996, remodeled the farmhouse, and continued the beef cattle enterprise with the addition of several sheep.
In 2011, due to the difficulties of maintaining a beef herd and the handling of large animals on small acreage, Maynard and Gayle converted to all white dorper sheep who are protected by our beloved llamas. Daughter Kendra and son Darren with his family of Holly, Ayden, and Charlotte also live on the farm and help with the various duties of raising and marketing sheep.

Psalms 100:3 - Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
